USUI REIKI

"What is important in this moment is what you are choosing to think and believe and say right now.
For these thoughts and words will create your future. Your point of power is in the present moment forming
the experience of tomorrow, next day, next year, and so on.“

USUI REIKI is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Reiki encourages meditative alpha states of consciousness and can be used as a preventative tool to maintain good health and as a way to ease everyday stress. This technique was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan in the mid 1800's. `Rei` can be interpreted as a higher form of intelligence while `ki` means life force. Reiki is a method of natural self-healing based on the application of Ki, Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki changes anything that needs to be changed within the physical and spiritual organism, as long as these changes are aligned with the soul’s highest good.

WE ARE ALL CONNECTED to each other and have an effect on all those with whom we come in contact. Reiki passes from the practitioner to the receiver, working on many levels. As a result, it brings many aspects of the receiver’s being into harmonious balance. At the same time our mind and body knows how to heal itself. As the Reiki energy in your body moves and cleanses, it supports your natural healing ability. Our bodies draw on Reiki to balance the flow of subtle energies by releasing blockages and suppressed feelings, old patterns, worries, encouraging self-love. Our body decides what it needs while Reiki adjusts to create the appropriate effects.

ACCORDING TO JAPANESE PHILOSOPHY, Ki flows in everything that is alive including plants, animals and humans. When a person's Ki is high, they feel strong, confident, and ready to enjoy life and take on its challenges. When it is low, they feel weak and are more likely to get sick. We receive Ki from air we breathe, food, sunshine, or from sleep. An important attribute of Ki is that is affected and responds and to ones thoughts and feelings. Ki flows more strongly or is weakened in its action depending on the quality of thoughts and feelings. It is our negative thoughts and feelings that are the main cause of restriction in the flow of Ki. All negative or disharmonious thoughts or feelings cause a disruption in the flow of Ki. Reiki energy balances the yin and yang, and helps to support smooth flow of Ki through energy centers called chakras, via pathways, meridians.
